  • USSYP 2018
    Any junior or senior interested in applying for the United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) can pick up an application with Mrs. Gray in guidance All applications are due to guidance by noon September 29th.
  • Day with the Docs October 26th 2017
    Day with the Docs is a one day, interactive program that offers high school students who are considering becoming a doctor, an opportunity to experience medical students’ daily activities and life on the LSUHSC School of Medicine campus in New Orleans. Applications are available from the school counselor or by going on-line to www.swlahec.com, and clicking on forms. All applications must be received by Southwest Louisiana AHEC no later than Friday, September 15, 2017. Applications can be found in Guidance or click on the attachment.
  • Miss Louisiana Jr. High, High School and Collegiate Scholarship Pageant
    We are currently recruiting young ladies to compete in our scholarship pageant. There is only one area of competition for the elementary contestants, formal wear. There are three areas of competition for our jr. high, high school and collegiate contestants which include interview, fun fashion and evening wear. The winners of the Jr. High, High School and Collegiate state pageant will advance to the national pageant to compete for the prestigious national titles. At the state level, they will win their national entry fee paid, a crown, sash, a scholarship from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and much more. The national winners have the opportunity to compete for $10,000 in scholarships, international travel and much more. In addition to that, our national high school winner will win a FULL 4 year tuition scholarship to Western State Colorado University!
Diploma Information

Diploma Pathways 

  • TOPS University Diploma – prepares student for a 4 year college or university
  • Jump Start Career Diploma – prepares student for a 2 year (Community or Technical College) or to go to work

Opting into Jump Start – Parent/Guardian must call Miss Trudy in Guidance to schedule an appointment with Mr. Moore to sign the paperwork & choose a Career Major to complete the 9 electives and certifications for Jump Start.
